Confidence is the cornerstone of learning.  It’s what helps pupils keep going when things get tough, ask for help when they need it and feel proud of what they’ve achieved.

At My Primary and Secondary Tutor, we know that confidence and progress go hand in hand. Our approach to online tutoring is designed to nurture both, so every child feels seen, supported and successful.

No two pupils are the same and neither is their tutoring.
Our primary tutors and secondary tutors take time to understand how each pupil learns best. Whether it’s through games, guided problem-solving or focused discussion, every session is carefully planned to meet your child where they are and help them move forward with confidence.

This is what makes online tutoring so effective with sessions that are flexible, interactive and completely tailored to your child’s needs.

2️⃣ Building Belief Through Success

Confidence grows when pupils see that they can do it.
That’s why our tutors break learning down into small, achievable steps, celebrating every success along the way. From mastering a tricky grammar rule to finally cracking long division, each win reinforces the belief that effort brings results.  Our 30 minute online sessions keep things focused and ensure pupils don't move through coursework too quickly. 

3️⃣ A Partnership with Parents

We believe that the best progress happens when tutors and parents work together.
With feedback after every session, we keep you in the loop about how your child is doing and what they’re working on next. This open communication means you can celebrate their achievements at home too, helping children see just how far they’ve come.  We are excited to be offering our twice yearly feedback sessions too, to give you the option to find out even more and have that 1 to 1 time with your child's tutor.

Our aim isn’t just to help pupils succeed in their sessions, it’s to help them take that confidence into school and beyond.
When children start to believe in their abilities, they begin to participate more, take risks and feel proud of their learning.  This confidence filters into school and other clubs and activities they take part in, showing that tutoring has a much wider impact that just helping them with one subject.
