The summer holidays are a time for rest, play, and making memories but with six weeks away from the classroom, it’s also when many children start to lose the academic progress they've worked so hard for.

Turn your garden, balcony or local park into a mini nature reserve. Grab a a notebook and magnifying glass and your child can:

Give your child £5 and visit a local charity shop to hunt for hidden literary gems. Back home, create a comfy reading nook with cushions, fairy lights, or even a tent!
